Visiting

Only for parties of eight or more at Church Street, with at least a day of notice. Everyone else walks in or uses the text-ahead waitlist on weekends.
Sunday between 9:45 and 11:15 is the peak, and it runs about thirty minutes. Saturday is slightly shorter. Weekdays rarely go past ten minutes.
Pine Street and Winooski have step-free entries. Church Street is step-free through the south marketplace door. All three have accessible restrooms.
On the Church Street patio and outside the other two, yes, and there are water bowls. Service animals are welcome anywhere.
Free wifi at all three. We ask that laptops move off the communal tables between 11:30 and 1 so people can eat lunch.
Food and drink

Gluten-free sandwich bread is available for two dollars, baked off site in a dedicated facility. Our kitchen and bakery bench are not gluten free, so we cannot promise no cross contact.
On every menu. The chickpea salad sandwich, the winter grain bowl, the country sourdough and seeded rye, and at least one vegan soup most days.
No. Oat, almond and whole milk are the same price on every drink.
Croissants usually go by 10:30 on a Saturday. There is a second smaller bake at 10:15 and a cookie bake at 1:30.
Brio Coffeeworks, a hundred yards from our Pine Street café in Burlington's South End. Beans arrive Tuesday and are never used past eighteen days off roast.
Ordering ahead and catering

Choose a location, build the order, pick a time. Your bag goes on the pickup shelf inside the front door with your name on it, so you skip the espresso queue.
Forty-eight hours for the morning meeting box, three days for the sandwich and soup lunch, five days for the brunch spread and two weeks for a celebration cake table.
Catering delivery is $25 inside Burlington and $40 for South Burlington, Winooski and Essex Junction. Setup is included in both.
Yes, through the custom cakes page, with two weeks of notice. Eight inch two-layer cakes start at $85 and orders over $250 include a tasting box.
We do not make tiered cakes and we do not staff full wedding service. We will happily cater a rehearsal brunch or a morning-after spread.
