Lunch
Sourdough sandwiches, grain bowls and two soups a day, from 11 am until we close.

The short version, and the long one
The lunch menu is short on purpose. Six sandwiches, three bowls and two soups means the line moves and nothing sits. Bread is whatever the bakers made that morning: country sourdough, a seeded rye, and focaccia on Thursdays.
About half of lunch leaves the building. If you order ahead the bag is on the pickup shelf inside the front door with your name on it, and you do not have to wait behind the espresso queue.
- 1A line that actually movesSix sandwiches instead of sixteen means the kitchen is fast between 12 and 1, when it matters.
- 2Bread you can tasteCountry sourdough gets an 18-hour bulk ferment. It is the reason the grilled three cheese sells out first.
- 3Half the menu is meat freeVegetarian and vegan options are on the main menu, not hidden in a corner of it.
What comes with it
- Bread baked in-house the same morning, never delivered
- Two soups daily, one of them always tomato and white cheddar
- Half sandwich and cup of soup combination for $12
- Order-ahead pickup shelf that skips the espresso line
- Compostable takeaway packaging, including the soup lids
- Vegan and vegetarian options in every group on this menu

How it gets made
Four steps, in order, every day. Nothing here is a secret.
- 1
Bread comes out at 9:30
Country sourdough, seeded rye and Thursday focaccia are cool enough to slice by 10:45, right before lunch starts.
- 2
Soups on the board by 10:45
The second soup is decided from what the walk-in has. It goes on the chalkboard and on the website the same hour.
- 3
Sandwiches built to order
Nothing is pre-wrapped. That costs us two minutes per ticket and it is worth it.
- 4
Bagged or plated
Takeaway goes on the pickup shelf by the door. Dine-in gets a number card and a runner.
